Yes, this hip event is back in town! This time as a part of Helarfest 2009’s events.
The latest Bandung’s Pecha Kucha Night is a bit different, because it was held at Gedung Merdeka in Jl. Asia Afrika. The presenters come from various kinds of people, like those behind creative websites such as www.creativemovement.org , www.deathrockstar.info , and www.langitselatan.com. There are also people who stand for their work, like Rizky Adiwilaga (a lawyer who expert in intellectual property rights), Ario the illustrator, and Yudi Andhika with his Yellow Dino character. Other names to mention are Kukuh Rizal from Bandung Affairs, Fiki Satari from Airplane System, Beoscope, Heppicraft, and a few others.

hip ini kembali digelar! Kali ini sebagai bagian dari rangkaian acara Helarfest 2009.
Edisi Pecha Kucha Night Bandung kali ini sedikit berbeda karena diselengarakan di Gedung Merdeka di Jl. Asia Afrika. Para presenternya berasal dari berbagai kalangan, seperti orang-orang yang merupakan tim kreatif dibalik website-website ternama seperti www.creativemovement.org , www.deathrockstar.info , dan www.langitselatan.com. Selain itu juga ada mereka yang sesuai dengan latar belakang profesi masing-masing, seperti Rizky Adiwilaga (seorang pengacara dengan keahlian di bidang hak kekayaan intelektual), Ario sang ilustrator, dan Yudi Andhika dengan karakter ciptaannya, Yellow Dino. Masih banyak nama yang patut disebut, seperti Kukuh Rizal dari Bandung Affairs, Fiki Satari dari Airplane System, Beoscope, Heppicraft, dan beberapa lainnya.
In the first session, we had two youngsters that confused the audience – what are they doing with those pile of garbage and trash bags? For 200 seconds they performed in silence with pictures of garbages in slides as the background before they opened their trash bag masks, and voila! Turns out that these guys are from Youth Waste, an exhibition for recycling products handled by the Industrial Design Students Society (INDDES) from Institute of Technology Bandung (ITB). There’s also another exhibition from Industrial Design ITB in the second session, named Bandung Public Furniture. This is the second time they’re held in this annual event
Di sesi pertama kita disuguhkan dengan penampilan dua orang pemuda yang tampaknya membingungkan para penonton – apa yang sedang mereka lakukan dengan sampah-sampah beserta kantong-kantong sampah itu?
Selama 200 detik mereka berdiri diam dengan gambar-gambar sampah yang bermunculan pada slide sebagai latar belakang performa mereka, sebelum akhirnya membuka ’topeng’ kantong sampah mereka, dan voila! Kedua pemuda tadi berasal dari Youth Waste, sebuah eksebisi untuk produk daur ulang yang diselenggarakan oleh Industrial Design Students Society (INDDES) dari Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB). Pada sesi kedua terdapat lagi sebuah eksebisi persembahan Industrial Design ITB bernama Bandung Public Furniture. Eksebisi ini merupakan kedua kalinya mereka menghadiri acara Pecha Kucha.
The highlights of the after-break round was surely the famous
Otong Koil. His presentation was attractive, mostly because of his way-too-cool style while presenting the slides. There was also this lovely young lady,
Ramia the fashion designer, who amazed people with her work for celebrities, such as Sherina and Mulan Jameela.
