19 February 2010 at Nike Sportswear (NSW) Store Plaza Indonesia, Nike Indonesia launched NSW N98 Track Jacket with a laid-back and intimate media session. The N98 Track Jacket was inspired by a match that moved the world, the name stands for “National 1998” as a tribute to the 1998 Brazilian National Team.
Hosted by P.Double, the media session featured speakers such as Dyah Oetari as Nike Indonesia representative, M.Robby, the wingback at Persisam and member of the Indonesia’s national football team, and Karin Wijaya, a fashion stylist and fashion editor from Dewi. The session also showcased a styling session with M.Robby by Karin Wijaya and closed with a Q+A session. After the media session, the event proceed to the final round of NSW The Game Of Life Photo Challenge that’s also being held to celebrate the launch of the N98 Track Jacket.
The qualification round of the photo challenge has been taking place at nikesportswear.dailywhatnot.com microsite on DailyWhatNot.com from Jan 25, 2010 to Feb 16. For its 22 day duration, The Game Of Life Photo Challenge has received 119 registered submissions. Then, five finalists were selected to proceed to the final round. At the final round of the photo challenge, the finalists; Carlo, Afrida, Suri, Wisang and Hutama must compete to win the grand prize. 24/7 supply of Nike products, that’s 24 Nike apparel and 7 Nike footwear. Each of the finalists were provided with a laptop and equipped with a digital camera. And then, led by the MC, the finalists were challenged to produce one final photo story that they feel can embody the spirit of Nike Sportswear within 30 minutes time. Each finalist was randomly paired with his/her own model. And the models for that night were no strangers; Rayi, Asta, Nino from RAN, and also Aditya and Fandi from Agrikulture. As the time limit has passed, Dyah Oetari, Karin Wijaya, Darbotz, Ariadi (DailyWhatNot) and Anton Ismael (Third Eye Studio) as the judges of the photo challenge, deliberated and submitted their jury score. And then the scoring screen testified.
The finalist with the highest score and the winner of the NSW The Game Of Life Photo Challenge: Suri..! Congratulations!! Also receiving some wicked cool prizes at the event was the winner of the most voted photo entry and the best dressed Nike-wearing guest. After the awarding ceremony, the exciting night was then concluded with a little photo session, and DJ Anton brought down the curtain with his closing set.
