Silla Home

An unattractive used chair is sure to be kept as a permanent resident in the attic, basement, or even ending up in the waste bin, but thanks to Merdeka Agnikarma from Silla Home, all that waste is turned into a classic and pretty furniture.

The intention was to make a furniture & home appliance line that has personality, is made, treated, and used as a form of art.Merdeka Agnikarma.

Upon finding it, this oak based chair was in a shabby condition, so bad that probably for most people this chair is not suitable as a home furniture. Merdeka then renewed this used chair by painting unique looking flower and bird motifs. Who knew that the handpainted Birds and Bloom used to be a shabby used chair?

Not only vamping up old furniture, Agni also designs new furniture with a classic and pretty style. Take the Curve Chair, a simple yet classic and feminin chair made of mahogany wood. The crossed back of the chair gives it a very unique look.

Agni admits that she doesn’t have any specific concept for every furniture design. She just wants her products to look pretty, unique, and chic. Besides chairs, Merdeka also designs other types of furniture with an also classic style such as cabinets and buffets that are made based on orders.
