SIWA

We would like to present this beautiful product from Japan.

Can you guess what this crinkled bag is made of?
This authentic Japanese bag called Shiwa, is made of paper and is designed by Naoto Fukuzawa from ONAO CO.,LTD. The name comes from the words Paper(si) and Japanese(wa). Shiwa also means crinkle in Japanese.

Its texture is as soft as Japanese paper. And as you hold it, this bag crumples nicely.
In Japan, people use paper products—including washi, a traditional Japanese paper—quite a lot in everyday life, though products such as paper bags are easily torn, therfore used as disposable goods.
However this shiwa bag is made of strong paper called naoron which can hold up to 10kg and is water resistant.

Though durable, paper is still paper. It is advised to treat with care.
The products simple design, material, and color gives this bag a gentle and warm impression to it.
